Jaiku is Back Online

After some “scheduled maintenance”, Jaiku is finally back online. On their blog they announced that along with restoring the service they have also moved into the Google data center as a result of their assimilation into the Googleplex.

We’ve now moved Jaiku to a Google data center. This is something that we’d planned to do anyway, as part of our future transition to Google App Engine.

The blog post also sneaks in that with the move Jaiku users will need to review and accept a new terms of service and privacy policy. As we (Microblink) are not yet Jaiku users we are uncertain of what has changed. However, with a high degree of confidence, I am sure the differences will not be documented.

If you have the scoop on the new TOS and privacy policy, please leave us a reply in the comments.

And, if you can spare one of your newly found unlimited invites, Microblink would greatly appreciate getting one! You can send your invite to tips[at]microblink.com. Thanks to our own Mark Bockenstedt (chewbocka) for hooking up Microblink with an invite. You’ll find us on Jaiku under microblink.

If you’d like an invite to Jaiku, send your email address through our contact form and we’ll get you started.
