MacWorld ‘09 was today and thousands of Apple fans turned to Twitter to shout their excitement over the new stuff (side-note: disappointing). The problem was that Twitter wasn’t really functioning too well. TweetDeck reported multiple problems with API data, forcing users to turn to the web interface. Once they were there, Twitter alerted us of delivery delays. So we all headed outside into the Twitter-less cold.
What happened to that injection of VC by Bezos and Amazon? Twitter reported no problems during the election, which was a much larger event than MacWorld. We love you Twitter, but we need you to be there for us when it counts. We hate writing these articles of woeful performance while it’s so silent that we can practically hear the tumbleweeds fly by. The least you could do is put up the fail whale while you fix problems…
Status as of…
2:30 PM CT: performance nominal. go have a nap and try back later
