Mike Templeton

Mike Templeton is one of the founders of Microblink. Mike has been microblogging since early 2008 (so long ago!) and fell in love with the format immediately. As new platforms started up, naturally he was registering new accounts and exploring the features each of them presented.

Fascinated by all of the community-driven websites that were cropping up around each of the different platforms, Mike saw the opportunity for a website to emerge that could bridge the divide between all platforms. One website that could watch the microblogging industry as a whole and stay on top of news and trends.

Over a bowl of noodles with Rob Jensen at Z’mariks one afternoon, the idea for Microblink was born. A few weeks later the site was up and stories started rolling in.

Outside of Microblink, MikeĀ is the Chief Strategist at Dosovo, a marketing and web strategy consultancy, an active member in the Des Moines Twitter community and one of two heads behind Tweetup Badges.

He blogs at Thoughts from Mike Templeton where topics range from social media to marketing strategy to web business. You’ll also catch wind of other projects under development if you watch closely enough.
