BlinkID July update: Sunsational news
This is the first time ever we’ve released BlinkID for native & cross platforms, Flutter, web API and in-browser SDK.
Before you head off to the beach take time to catch up with the latest features:
ID scanning that works in a browser
BlinkID is now available as an in-browser SDK that runs in any internet browser that supports WASM. Meaning that your users can scan their identity documents or select an image from the device and never leave your page. Say hello to form filling with a single scan directly in your user’s browser. If you’re interested in exploring BlinkID in-browser SDK please contact our sales team.
New features
Some data is not meant to be seen, so BlinkID keeps it away from the curious eyes. After scanning an identity document with protected fields, the results will not contain that information. The same goes for the document image, where the data will be blacked out.
Here is the list of the protected fields:
- Document number on Hong Kong ID
- MRZ on Hong Kong passports
- Personal ID number on Netherlands DL
- Personal ID number and MRZ on Netherlands ID
- MRZ on Netherlands passports
- Document number on Singapore DL, ID, Fin Card, Resident ID
- Personal ID number on Singapore Employment Pass
- Document number and personal ID number on Singapore Work Permit
- MRZ on Singapore passports
New for iOS users
Check out the translated and localized user interface on iOS for your Croatian, Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Slovak, and Spanish users.
New for Web API users
We’ve upgraded our USDL & ID_BARCODE recognizers. If your user scans a document that has street, postal code, city or jurisdiction, that info will be visible in the results screen.
