Cutting-edge mobile OCR is coming to Mobile World Congress 2018!

At this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Microblink will be showcasing the latest advances in its proprietary mobile vision tech, including OCR powered by deep learning, and a new product for scanning retail receipts, BlinkReceipt.

Microblink is an R&D company focused on developing proprietary mobile vision and real-time text recognition. Standing on the frontier of computer science, it uses the most advanced neural networks and deep learning techniques to provide fast and accurate text recognition using a smartphone camera. Its mission is to simplify everyday tasks by eliminating manual data input from mobile apps. From real-time recognition for bills, checks, payment slips, top-ups, barcode, to various identity documents and retail receipts, Microblink’s products save time and improve user experience in many mobile apps. Its worldwide customers’ network includes banks & financial institutions, telecoms, retailers, insurers, system integrators, startups, and other service and production oriented companies.

After successful participation in Mobile World Congress 2017, Microblink is coming back to Barcelona for the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry. Here are the most recent novelties to be showcased at MWC 2018.

  • Award-winning product – BlinkReceipt is a real-time receipt scanner for mobile apps. BlinkReceipt extracts every possible detail from consumer purchase receipts across the entire retail industry. It runs locally on device (no server-side processing), scales infinitely, and is the most cost-effective way to collect consumer purchase data. It has already won the Best of Show award at FinovateSpring in San Jose last year, and we’re excited to announce that it has now been nominated for Global Mobile Awards 2018 in the category of Best Mobile Innovation for Commerce!
  • New upgrades in ID scanning – BlinkID, the best-in-class ID card scanner and our most popular product, has been continuously upgraded to support new types of documents. As a result, it is now used for a wide variety of use-cases: simple mobile verification and onboarding, visitor and access management, airport and hotel check-in, and remote voter registration, amongst others.
  • Telco solution – along with improvements in ID scanning, we have also developed a telco SDK, which combines ID and SIM card scanning to provide seamless prepaid user onboarding.

Join us at MWC 2018 to see Microblink’s powerful OCR portfolio live in action! We would love to show you our technology and talk about your use-case. If you happen to attend the event, you can schedule a meeting or simply stop by hall 8.1 at booth J61.
