Microblink USA LLC, 10 Grand Street, STE 2400, Brooklyn, NY 11249 and its affiliated companies (hereinafter: “Microblink”), act in the capacity of the data controller when processing your personal data as described in this Privacy Notice.
Microblink intends to process your personal data for the purpose of the advancement and development of its technology based on your freely given consent. This means you can decide whether you want to provide your consent and that the execution of rights and obligations from any agreement that forms the basis of your relationship with Microblink is not dependent on this consent, and its withholding shall not have negative consequences on your relationship with Microblink. Before giving consent, please read the description of the processing to understand how your personal data is processed.
By using Microblink’s application Secure Image Upload you will share scanned images with Microblink in a secure way. The images shall be processed to advance and develop Microblink’s machine learning and computer vision technology. The images shall not be used for any other purpose. Depending on the type of images of identity documents shared, Microblink can process your name and last name, address, date, and place of birth, gender, sex, nationality, country of residence, signature, passport number, social security number, driver’s license number, state or national ID card number, other ID card number, personal identification number, face image, eye color, weight, height, organ donor status, other categories of data found on transferred identity documents, and biometric data (not used for undeniably identifying a person).
Personal data on the images shall be retained until no longer necessary or until you withdraw your consent. Microblink shall implement all the necessary measures to protect the security and confidentiality of received personal data. Microblink shall not share images with any third party other than its affiliated companies.
As a data subject, depending on the circumstances, you have a right to request copies of your personal data (right of access), rectify personal data you think is inaccurate or to complete data you think is incomplete (right to rectification), erase your personal data in certain circumstances (right to erasure), restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (restriction of processing), object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (object to the processing), right to data portability and a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You are not required to pay any charge to exercise your rights.
Note that Microblink does not process your data for automatic decision-making nor uses techniques for profiling.
