Microblink LLC, Trg Drage Iblera 10, Zagreb, PIN: 21173725829 (hereinafter: “Microblink”), acts in the capacity of the data controller when we process your personal data as described in this Privacy Notice.
This site is a demo of Microblink’s solution BlinkID Verify. Please make sure that you carefully read this Privacy Notice to understand how Microblink processes personal data before uploading any images that may contain personal data.
Use of BlinkID Verify through this web-based API is meant to showcase Microblink’s technology, and personal data will be processed only to demonstrate the functionalities of this solution. Therefore, no personal data will be stored or permanently processed for any other purpose. Microblink processes personal data for the mentioned purpose based on our legitimate interest in demonstrating Microblink technology, and without processing personal data, this would not be entirely possible.
If you are uploading the personal data of third parties to Microblink, you are responsible for ensuring an appropriate lawful basis for any such sharing of third parties (Data Subjects). Microblink may ask you to provide evidence that such data is shared on an appropriate lawful basis. Microblink shall use its best efforts to ensure that third parties’ personal data is processed, handled, and collected in the same manner as your own personal data. However, you are solely responsible for using a lawful basis to share personal data from third parties with Microblink.
Depending on the type of document you scan, BlinkID Verify processes the following categories of personal data: first and last name, address, date and place of birth, gender, sex, nationality, country of residence, signature, passport number, social security number, driver’s license number, state or national ID card number, other ID card number, personal identification number, face image, eye color, weight, height, organ donor status, biometric data or other categories of data found on scanned identity documents.
After you scan the document, this scan is sent out to Microblink’s application programming interface (API) to perform the verification process. To ensure the highest level of availability for App users around the world, Microblink API is distributed globally using Google Cloud Load Balancing. This means that, for example, personal data scanned in the European Union can be exported to Microblink’s cloud servers in the United States or Asia for processing. After the verification session is completed, the verification checks and extracted data will appear on your screen. Microblink deletes all personal data after the verification process has been completed. Personal data connected to this processing is not intended for access by Microblink or any third party.
Besides ensuring the highest levels of availability, using Google Cloud Load Balancing also means that the same level of security will be maintained by using best practices and configuration that Google Cloud Platform has to offer, including but not limited to encryption of data in transit and at rest, Google Armor protection from DDoS attacks and WAF firewall.
As a user of this App and a data subject, depending on the circumstances, you have a right to:
– ask us for copies of your personal information (right of access),
– ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate or to complete information you think is incomplete (right to rectification),
