BlinkCard v2.10 Release: Improved Credit Card Liveness Detection
It’s been a while since the last BlinkCard product update, but this one is big and exciting!
We’ve focused on transforming BlinkCard from a fast card data entry product into a powerful fraud prevention solution. BlinkCard now not only speeds up payment or onboarding flows but also safeguards against common fraud attempts, evaluating that credit, debit or prepaid cards are physically present.
In the latest version, BlinkCard 2.10, we introduced significantly improved liveness detection checks, offering more robust protection against card-not-present fraud.

Enhanced Liveness Detection
- We significantly improved photocopy detection. The False Rejection Rate (FRR) and False Acceptance Rate (FAR) are reduced by ~50% as measured on the default match level.
- To serve different risk profiles, BlinkCard allows adjustment of the screen and photocopy match level and setting of the hand presence threshold.
- BlinkCard now boasts a 97% accuracy rate, with an overall success rate of 95%.
Compatible with all card types
- BlinkCard remains universally compatible with cards from all issuers. It can scan any type of payment card—whether vertical or horizontal, embossed, printed, or indented, and any card number layout. Whatever card your users present, BlinkCard can handle it.
