Darren Bassman is the co-founder and CEO of Microblink. He is a dedicated entrepreneur and founded JSwipe (acquired by Spark Networks), Windfall (acquired by BlinkReceipt), and LiveCard before Microblink. Darren is a product-focused executive with a knack for explaining complex topics with compelling simplicity. Before launching his entrepreneurial career, Darren worked in finance for Janney Capital Markets. Outside of work Darren is a dedicated Brooklyn native and a die-hard Villanova fan.
As Chief Operating Officer of Microblink, Hartley is responsible for the alignment of key operational aspects of the business to ensure that the company accomplishes strategic growth objectives in a consistent and effective manner. Hartley is passionate about helping people grow, team-building, and helping to make strategic visions a reality. Prior to joining Microblink, Hartley was President of B-Line Medical, a company that makes software to help healthcare professionals and educators improve the delivery of healthcare, that was acquired in 2019. Outside of work, Hartley enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, philanthropy, and water activities.
Igor is passionate about building and empowering teams to create digital products that profoundly transform the way we do ordinary things. He’s got 20 years of experience in Erste Bank Croatia as a Head of Digital development, where he helped the bank to position as a top digital bank in Croatia. He joined Microblink in 2021 as a Managing Director for Croatia, helping the company to transform from a start-up to a product-centric & customer-centric enterprise. He holds a MS in Information and Communication Technology from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Zagreb, Croatia.
Igor is also a proud husband and dad. Even after 20+ years of marriage and 5 children, he is still an incurable romantic. Igor’s passion is dancing, and he is dreaming to make a viral TikTok dance with his youngest daughter.
Jurica is the technical cofounder who helped build the initial Microblink’s products that jumpstarted the company since 2013. Today he’s responsible for building high performing engineering teams that achieve technical excellence while focusing on end customers. He started coding since he was 10 and successfully participated in algorithmic coding competitions. Outside of work, Jurica enjoys all things new – food, travel, experiences and meeting people.
Mike leads our global finance organization and oversees Microblink’s financial planning. He partners with teams across the company to establish KPIs, strategic roadmaps and cohesive operational plans.
Mike has 10 years of experience working with high growth technology companies and has held roles spanning advisory, investments and operations.
He graduated from Boston College with degrees in Finance and Marketing. In his free time, you can find him rooting for the New York Giants, playing with his husky Kaia and spending time with friends and family.
Sam is our General Manager in Artificial Intelligence, responsible for Microblink’s AI business. He’s been turning ideas into marketable products for more than 15 years.
Prior to Microblink, Sam co-founded Sparrow, an artificial intelligence sports company, and SourcePad (acquired 2022), a development company that helped build more than 200 startups, which in total raised over $2 billion. In former life he worked at Harvard University, American Express and Fidelity Investments. He has a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Wake Forest University.
Trista leads the revenue teams for our best-in-class Identity products with the focus of maximizing customer growth and delivering ROI to our customers. With over 15 years of experience, Trista’s focus is to deliver and build an organization where our customers want a world with us rather than without us. Prior to Microblink, she helped build a technology company which led to an acquisition in 2019. Trista has led multiple functions in healthcare tech companies overseeing client service teams which included project, education, implementation, and support services along with managing global supply chain and manufacturing.
One of Trista’s favorite quotes is from Albert Einstein – “Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.”
Adrienne is a passionate People Leader that brings expertise in spearheading innovative and disruptive strategies and intiatives that focus on taking culture, performance, and employee engagement to the highest level. Adrienne cut her teeth in HR fifteen years ago with a boutique innovation consultancy where she learned the importance of building and nurturing world-class teams and employee experiences. Most recently, she was the SVP of People for a Marketing Technology company where she established and scaled the HR function through the company’s various stages of growth and success. Outside of work, Adrienne is a mom of two young, spirited children that keep her on her toes. She enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with her husband on weekends, documentary films, travel and fitness.
