Identity of the controller

Microblink LLC, Trg Drage Iblera 10, Zagreb, Croatia PIN: 21173725829 and its affiliated companies (hereinafter: “Microblink”), act in the capacity of the data controller when processing your personal data as described in this Privacy Notice.

Description of processing

 Microblink’s Identity App is made to extract and verify data from your ID and non-ID documents. The App can process images either locally on your device or by uploading them to Microblink’s systems. When images are processed locally on your device, Microblink does not receive or store those images, and no consent is required for such on‑device processing. When you choose to allow the App to upload images to Microblink, those images will be shared with Microblink and processed as described in this Privacy Notice. 

By providing your consent, you agree to share images captured and uploaded through this App, including any data contained in those images, with Microblink. On the basis of this consent, we will use the images captured and uploaded through this App to develop and improve Microblink technology. We will retain the images in our databases for a period of 30 days, after which they will be automatically deleted. You can withdraw your consent at any time by reaching out to privacy@microblink.com and providing your UserID.

If you choose not to provide your consent, you can still use the App fully.

Depending on the images that you scan, the following personal data may be collected, stored, and processed: e-mail address; first and last name; nationality; gender; face image present on a document, date and place of birth; ID Card number (date of issuance/expiry); other ID numbers, address; personal identification number; passport number, country of residence, place of work and its address, academic title, body height, weight, eye color, organ donor status, or other biometric data, credit and debit card number, social security number, driver’s license number, signature, as well as image, data and/or other personal data that may be present on images of scanned documents (loyalty card, healthcare card, insurance card, or any other document), submitted selfie images and videos or any other personal data contained on the images captured by the App or scanned by the user.

Data subject’s rights

As a data subject, depending on the circumstances, you have a right to:

• ask us for copies of your personal information (right of access),
• ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate or to complete information you think is incomplete (right to rectification),
• ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances (right to erasure),
• ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances (restriction of processing),
• object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances (right to object),
• ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organization, or to you, in certain circumstances (right to data portability),
• to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond.

In case of potential complaints, you have the right to contact the competent supervisory authority.

 Microblink does not automatically process nor use techniques for profiling its users.

Microblink does not share nor sell the data you submitted with any third parties.

Microblink does not link the data you submitted to third-party data for marketing or advertising purposes.
