  • Implementing strong but invisible fraud layers: Passive liveness, device intelligence, and behavioral signals can strengthen detection without always adding extra user steps.
  • Providing fallback paths: If a user cannot complete selfie estimation or document capture, alternative routes can recover otherwise lost conversions.
  • Reducing unnecessary data collection: Users are more likely to complete verification when the process clearly matches the risk and does not appear overly invasive.

For high-risk environments, the goal is not the shortest possible flow. It is the most efficient defensible flow: one that stops underage users and fraudsters, preserves legitimate adult conversions, and leaves a record your organization can stand behind.
